Aum Sun Public School successfully organized a Chess Competition on 18th May 2025 in the school auditorium, where students participated with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
Recognizing that intellectual development is as vital as physical growth, the school aims to promote strategic thinking and mental agility through games like chess. The competition commenced on a heartwarming note as the tiny tots from Nursery class presented bouquets to the participants, symbolizing encouragement and unity.
The participants demonstrated excellent critical thinking and strategy throughout the event. Among the standout performers were Virat (Class VIII) who secured the first position, Deepak (Class VIII) who came second, and Harsh Kumar (Class IX) who earned the third place.
Mr. Anurag Gupta, the Academic Director of the school, congratulated the winners and commended their coach, Mr. Raman Sharma, for their dedicated efforts. In his address, Mr. Gupta stated, “Chess is a game that embodies conviction and intellectual brilliance. It is heartening to see young Indian players excelling at national and international levels, and we take immense pride in their achievements.” He extended his best wishes to the winners for their continued success in the game.
The event was graced by Dr. Poornima Varshney, School Coordinator; Ms. Ritu Das, Mr. Gajender Tyagi, Sports Coach; members of the teaching staff, and students, all of whom contributed to the event’s success with their support and encouragement.
